Funeral Services for William Frank Hagerty, 89, of Tomball, formerly of Corrigan will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jay Kott officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Frank was born October 14, 1933 in Fort Ringgold, Texas to William and Myrle (Morgan) Hagerty and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 in Humble. He graduated from Kerrville High School in 1953. Shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Army and served his country for two years. He married Betty Maxey on May 31, 1963 and the two spent more than 55 years together until her passing. In his younger years, he lived in Fredericksburg on a ranch and enjoyed riding his horses.
In 1972, Frank became a peace officer and worked for Harris County Sherriff’s Office and Harris County Constables. He also worked part-time for Bank of America as their security officer. He retired after 33 years of service in law enforcement. He was known as “Papa” by his granddaughters, Katelyn and Kayleigh and he wore the title proudly. Frank was of the Baptist faith and attended Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Myrle Hagerty; sister, Patricia Pharris; and wife, Betty Hagerty.
Frank is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Joey Keilers of Tomball; granddaughters, Katelyn Keilers and fiancé Hayden Lev; and Kayleigh Keilers; and other relatives and friends.
