A Private Memorial Service for Wilbur Morrow, 76, of Corrigan will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Union Springs Cemetery.
Wilbur was born on October 15, 1944 in Ukiah, CA to Donald and Seredah (West) Morrow and passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Corrigan.
After graduating high school, he joined the United States Marine Corp and served 16 years, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He also attended college and received an associate degree as a diesel mechanic. Later, he went to work for the state and retired after 10 years.
Wilbur met the love of his life, Phyllis and the two married on May 18, 1968 in Reno, NV. It was love at first sight for both and he remained by her side until her passing on March 18, 2019.
Wilbur enjoyed arts and crafts and carpentry. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle on the country roads.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Gary Currie of Corrigan; sister, Sharon Morgan of McMinnville, OR; grandchildren, Jessica and Johnny Mercer of Chester and great grandchildren, Johnny Mercer Jr. and Wyatt Mercer and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Seredah Morrow; wife, Phyllis Morrow and grandson, Bradly Currie.
