Graveside Services for Thomas F. Nash, 82, of Camden will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Apple Springs. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at Corrigan Funeral Home.
Mr. Nash was born on June 28, 1938 in Apple Springs to the late Della (Herring) and Jesse Nash and passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in Lufkin.
At an early age, Thomas joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. After his honorable discharge, he ventured into the work field. He was employed by Champion International as an electrician from 1961-1978. He was also self-employed as a general contractor.
In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with his friends at the Senior Citizen Center. In his younger years, he would attend the Crockett Fiddlers Festival every year. He was known as “Papa” by the grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Aurthur, Tamp, Ross, and Fred; sisters, Veta Mae, Jet, Dolly, Edna, and Johnnie; sons, Tom Schmidt and Alan Schmidt; and daughter, Sandra Nash.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Gladys Mae Nash of Camden; son and daughter-in-law, Jessie and Carrie Nash of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mike Nicholson of Corrigan; grandchildren, Chance Nash, Chad Nash, Ty Nicholson, and Heather Johnson and numerous step grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Ty Nicholson, Mike Nicholson, Chance Nash, Chad Nash, and Ronnie Risenhoover.
