Memorial Services for Ramona Myers, 53, of Orange will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Corrigan Funeral Home.
Ramona Myers was born August 29, 1969 in Livingston, Texas to Charlotte and Theo Myers and passed on December 21, 2022 in San Marcos, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2001 and from the Seminary of the Southwest with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2019. She was currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at St. Mary’s University.
Ramona was an eternal optimist. This worldview helped her pursue a career in counseling fueled by a passion to always see the good in the world. While acquiring her Master’s, she met Yvonne, they fell in love, and they subsequently married on June 15, 2019. She was known as “Yaya” to her two granddaughters, Elena and Isabel, whom she loved more than anything. She was equally infatuated with her children, Kaylee and Kyle, whom she regularly raved about to her friends and colleagues. Ramona loved football and baseball and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees respectively. She collected baseball cards and football memorabilia in her free time.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Theo Myers.
She is survived by her wife, Yvonne Myers; daughter and son-in-law, Kaylee and Oscar Cuevas; son and partner, Kyle Grissom and Trey Ramon; granddaughters, Elena and Isabel Cuevas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Lisa Myers, Steve and Lezli Myers, and Terry and Patricia Myers and other relatives and friends.
