Priscilla Whitworth Obituary

Priscilla Ann Stanford Whitworth passed away peacefully at her home in Spring, Texas on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 with her devoted husband by her side. Ann was born in Carmona, Texas on October 13, 1943 to Audrey Louise Miller Stanford and Clenon B. Stanford. She grew up in Camden, Texas alongside her two brothers, Ira James and Clenon E. “Bo,” and attended Chester High School where she met Bill, her husband of 60 years.

Ann married Bill Whitworth on May 18, 1963 and together they forged a beautiful life, eventually settling in Spring, TX. Neighbors became extended family and shared milestones, holidays and everyday moments alike. It was in that loving home that Ann went to be with her Lord and Savior.

Along the way, Ann and Bill joyfully welcomed two children, Wendy and Billy; Ann devoted herself entirely to their care and happiness. She fully extended that warm welcome and love to Wendy’s husband, Carlos and to Billy’s wife, Michele.

Throughout Wendy’s and Billy’s childhoods, Ann was a constant source of support and participation in their schools and extra-curricular activities. Finally, after two decades of volunteering, Ann made it official and began a fourteen year stint of employment at Twin Creeks Middle School where she made many memories and cared deeply for her friends and co-workers.

Ann’s talent came alive in celebrations with family and friends. Many happy memories fill our hearts daily, recounting Christmas Eve gatherings, Easter Celebrations, and so much more.

Ann’s love language was gift-giving. If you knew Ann, chances are you remember receiving a memento of her affection for you - it was sincere and heartfelt - and she had a ball finding the right gift!

Ann’s greatest pride and joy was being a grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren: Camden Whitworth and Sophia Cruz in 2007, Dylan and Eliott Whitworth in 2012. She endeavored to enjoy every moment, celebration and trip possible with them despite any physical limitations or hardships along the way.

Ann loved her husband, family and friends so dearly and those bonds have only deepened and multiplied, extending now to subsequent generations! Lastly, Bill’s unwavering dedication to her care gave Ann many years to love life on this earth. Annie may have had Parkinson’s but Parkinson’s didn’t have her! Ann was preceded in death by her parents Clenon B and Audrey L Stanford and brother Ira James Stanford. She is survived by husband, Bill Whitworth, brother Clenon E. “Bo” Stanford (Thelma “Tutti”), daughter Wendy Cruz (Carlos) and son Billy Whitworth, Jr. (Michele) and her four precious grandchildren: Sophia, Camden, Dylan and Eliott. Service will be held at 10:30 am, Sunday, May 21, 2023 Corrigan Funeral Home 204 E. Front Street Corrigan, TX 75939 with a visitation preceding the service at 9:30 am
