Patrick was born on February 28, 1946 in Biloxi, Mississippi, the son of Joseph B. and Sylvia Wilkins. Patrick Wilkins was a proud American, a humble man with integrity, morals, honesty, loyalty, and compassion. A son of God, that held his faith and Christian beliefs near to his heart.

A man who knew the importance of family. A true family man, a husband, a father, a brother, a grandfather, a great grandfather, holding as well as many other family titles. He was a patriarch of the family, one who loved each of his family members greatly, showing each a special kind of unconditional love, that made certain there wasn’t a doubt and/or a limit to how much he loved and cared for them.

A man of wisdom and a firm believer in prayer. He was a man who believed in forgiveness and giving the benefit of doubt. A listener, one who truly analyzed your words and feelings, yet a speaker and advisor of situational and life circumstances, giving sound advice, encouragement, and the wisdom of life, that he had gained through his years on earth, through his love and choice of words spoken.

A man of love, first and foremost for his Lord and Shepherd, the King of Kings, and the one and only true living God. Holding the love, he had for his family only second to God. Love for each that he considered a friend and for each person he encountered in his walk-through life. Love for his country and the freedoms it offers, and for the peace he felt while fishing and riding his Harley Davidson.

A proud man, proud of all his accomplishments in life, but most of all, of his family and the people in it. He was a man that prided himself that through the grace of God, all his family knew Jesus and were firm in their beliefs. Giving God the glory and thanking God for the blessing of allowing him to be the one selected to be in each of his family members life.

Patrick Carl Wilkins was a man of many great characteristics and traits, but most importantly he is a man that will be forever missed and loved. He is a man that because of his unconditional love he shared here on earth, he will never be forgotten, memories of him will always be cherished, and his legacy will forever live in the hearts of many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph B. and Sylvia Wilkins; daughter Donna McBryde; son in laws, Jeffrey French, Michael Scott Poe, and Todd Paine; grandsons, Grant Pike and Ryan Sherry; best friend, Ralph Vascek.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Wilkins of Houston; brothers, Bill Wilkins and wife Sharon of The Woodlands, Mike Wilkins and wife Debbie of New Mexico, and Phillip Wilkins of Houston; children, Patricia Wilkins-Wiseman and husband Mike of Houston, Dana French and spouse John Ellis of Houston, Scott Pike of Houston, Tina Hemphill and husband Jerry of Lufkin and Lisa Wagner and husband Ricky of Angleton; grandchildren, Kristin McBryde-Dennis and husband David of Houston, Zachrey French and spouse Claribel Obregon of Lawrence, KS, Patrick Chapman and wife Amy of Houston, Morgan French-Goolsby and husband Jonathan of Texas City, Paige Pike of Houston, Katie Poe of Houston, Michaela Pike of Houston and many more; 9 great-granddaughters and 5 great-grandsons and many close friends.
