Carol Lynn (Faircloth) Hoot

Carol Lynn Hoot, 69 of Corrigan Texas passed away on October 24,2023. Carol was born on July 22, 1954, to the parents Ernest and Betty Faircloth of Woodville Texas. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. at the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel on October 26,2023 with a Graveside Service to follow at Union Springs Cemetery, Corrigan Texas, with Bro. Charlie Hodge officiating.

Carol was one of 8 girls in her family and upon meeting her husband she told them, girls I’m going to marry that man, and they were happily married for 52 years, they had two children who she adored and could do no wrong!

Carol loved to be outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, she could sit at a pond all day without a care in the world and it didn’t even matter if the fish were biting. She also greatly enjoyed her BINGO Nights. She loved to be around her family and friends and considered it a joy to share her home with all the loved ones, especially the grandbabies who bestowed her with the name Memaw. She loved to cook and will be greatly missed on Saturday mornings when that was the time to come together as a family and enjoy each other’s company around the table with good food.

Daughter; Rose Ann Lott and husband Rodney

Son; Sherman Wayne Hoot and wife Melissa.

Sisters; Beverley Apodaca, Ernestine Watters, Kathy Wagstaff, and Joyce Wright

Brother, Marvin Faircloth.

Grandchildren; Joshua Hoot, Katharyn Hoot and husband Brian, and Cayden Lott.

Great Grandchildren; Zoey Hoot and Aubree Hoot.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters; Jeanette Falcon, Linda Slaydon, and Liz Thompson, along with her daughter-in-law Carolynn Hoot.
