Antonia “Toni” Acevedo, 65, of Corrigan passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

Private family services will be held at Corrigan Funeral Home.

Mrs. Acevedo was born on October 18, 1956 in Brownfield, TX to Jose and Erminia (Riojas) Bosquez and passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Lufkin.

Toni married the love of her life, Benito Acevedo on September 27, 1977. She spoiled him every chance she could.They moved to Corrigan in 1983 and made it their home. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Corrigan. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah. She enjoyed crafting, going to garage sales, and couponing. She always looked forward to a good cup of coffee from Starbucks. The most important thing in Toni’s life was her relationship and walk with Jehovah. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Maximo Bosquez; sister, San Juanita Boquez; and grandson, Pedro Mercado.

Toni is survived by her husband, Benito Acevedo of Corrigan; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Pedro Mercado of Corrigan and Paula and Pablo Guzman of Timpson; sons and daughters-in-law, Rafael and Nina Acevedo of Onalaska, Martin and Veronica Acevedo of New Waverly, and Benito Jr. and Tara Acevedo of Corrigan; sisters, Alice Perez, Josefina Bosquez and husband Everardo Luna, Paula Murray, and Juanita Ramirez; brothers, Benito Rodriguez and wife Ofelia, Jesus Bosquez and wife Reyna, Tony Bosquez, Jose Bosquez Jr., and Dennis Bosquez; grandchildren, Daniel Mercado, Myranda Mercado, Omar Guzman, Ana Guzman, Yuridia Guzman, Colby Acevedo, Marissa Acevedo, Keagen Acevedo, Brandon Jones and wife Rachel, Austin Jones, and Christian Jones; great grandchildren, Omari Mercado, Mateo Guzman, baby Ivan Guzman, Addison Jones, Hadley Jones, Olivia Jones, Harlynn Jones, and Palmer Jones and brothers and sisters in faith and other relatives and friends.
