Alma Lorine (Hilton) Scott

Funeral Services for Alma Lorine Scott, 97, of Moscow will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Corrigan Funeral Home in Corrigan with Pastor Charlie Hodge officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Mrs. Scott was born on December 20, 1923 in Livingston to John and Cora Susan (Burke) Hilton and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in Livingston.

Lorine was a Baptist by faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Moscow. At the age of 15, she met the love of her life, Wesley Scott. The two married on April 29, 1938 in Carmona. She worked in the school cafeteria as a cook for many years. She was known as “Mamaw” and “Memaw” by her grandchildren and she doted on everyone of them. Family gatherings were one of the things she loved the most. She was a great cook and had some of the best dressing that would melt in your mouth. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing. Spending time in her yard and nurturing her flowers was something she looked forward to.

Lorine was one of the strongest people you would ever meet, always putting her family first. She loved life and never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold and will be missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Lois Hodge, Margie Frantz, and Roxie Clamons; brother, Haril Hilton; and grandson, Sammy Watson.

Lorine is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and JoAnn Scott of Corrigan and Clifford and Sondra Scott of Katy; daughters, Linda Watson of Coldspring; Joyce Watson of Andalusia, AL; and Louise and James Toler of Moscow; grandchildren, Karen Mudd and husband Chris, John Kennedy and wife Kathie, Kathie Brown, Gena Perkins and husband Johnny, Kevin Scott and wife Shelly, Laurel Boatman and husband Ron, Stacy Hansen and husband Mike, Clint Watson, Scott “Scooter” Watson and wife Bobbi, Alysha McLendon, Lance Scott and wife Sandy and Joel Scott; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Lance Scott, Joel Scott, John Kennedy, Jordan Perkins, Ryan Brown, Scott Watson, and Kevin Scott.
